Creating New Looks

Many Eye Scream Factory DVD Art Professional templates feature artwork that's composed of individual layers. This allows you to customize the artwork to suit your needs. In addition, the templates include a special set of adjustment layers that greatly increase the variety of looks you can achieve.

Here are some ways to change the appearance of one of our DVD Art Professional Volume II templates, Wedding Dance, right in Adobe Encore. All of these adjustments can also be made in Adobe Photoshop.

Here is the unaltered template...

First I'll twirl down the "Background" folder in the Layers tab.

Tinting layers can also be combined to create new looks. I've settled on Red Color Balance for this project; here is the effect...

Now I'll show some of the changes that can be made with the "Blue Rose" template from DVD Art Professional Volume II. Here is the template in its unaltered state...

By changing the visibility on the adjustments layers, Blue Rose can change into all sorts of different colors. Here are eight examples of the 11 adjustments layers included with the Blue Rose template set...

Now, here is is a strikingly different version of the same Blue Rose template...

I created this version by clicking on the Black & White adjustments layer, deactivating the rose, flowers, and big flowers layers, and changing the position of the text layers. Experiment to your heart's content!
